The second edition of the GP Caffè Borbone was a success
More than 170 young cyclists, representing 28 teams from across Italy and several European countries, competed on the roads of Errano di Faenza and Brisighella for the second edition of the Gran Premio Caffè Borbone, which this year officially entered the national calendar for the Juniors category.
After its regional debut in 2024, the race has taken an important step forward, confirming itself as a key event for young cycling talents and for the promotion of sport as an educational tool and a driver of growth. The riders covered 122 km along a technical and spectacular route that crossed areas made symbolic by the passage of the 2024 Tour de France and by the resilience of local communities after the 2023 floods. The competition was made possible thanks to the collaboration between the Neapolitan company Caffè Borbone, Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna led by Davide Cassani, and Polisportiva Zannoni, with the support of local institutions. The initiative is part of Caffè Borbone’s broader commitment to supporting the younger generations, believing in sport as a tool for education, personal growth, and the social and cultural development of local communities. Crossing the finish line first was 17-year-old Patrik Pezzo Rosola, a promising young Italian cyclist.
"Investing in young talent means truly believing in the future,” said Marco Schiavon, CEO of Caffè Borbone. “For us, sport is a means to convey values, build connections, and strengthen the sense of community. Events like this represent a concrete opportunity to guide new generations along healthy, conscious growth paths, deeply rooted in their territory. The success of the GP Caffè Borbone reinforces the vision we share with Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna: to promote a sporting culture based on commitment and passion as tools to build the society of tomorrow."
These words were echoed by Davide Cassani, founder of Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna and President of APT Servizi Emilia Romagna: “Our goal is to help young people chase their dreams, giving them the right opportunities to grow. That is what Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna does every day: it not only promotes the region through its activities but also allows its U23 cyclists to compete with the best at the international level. The GP Caffè Borbone fits perfectly into this context: it is a real, selective race, capable of helping Juniors grow and put themselves to the test. The course passes through territories marked by the floods, which are now regaining momentum thanks to sport and the energy of young people. In a Romagna that knows how to get back up, that believes in daily work and in the new generations, the collaboration with Caffè Borbone is truly fitting, symbolic, and concrete.”
