Odissea Terra is a project promoted by Fondazione Pesenti Ets, with the support of Italmobiliare Investment Holding, aimed at spreading awareness and stimulating participation and concrete actions regarding the sustainability of our future and our planet.
Against an international backdrop where the voices of institutions, representative associations, and businesses that question the charted path of sustainable development, mistakenly pitting sustainability, growth, and competitiveness against each other, it is crucial to maintain a high focus on the most pressing ESG challenges through knowledge, dialogue, and participation.
If we believe that human beings are not meant merely to exploit what surrounds them, but to grow, evolve, and build a better future while respecting the environment, then we must ask ourselves what “sustainability” really means. Is it just an abstract concept, or can it be the driving force that pushes us to change course, to rediscover our direction—our Ithaca? From these reflections, a fundamental truth emerges: Odissea Terra concerns all of us, and to shape a future built on sharing, opportunity, dreams, and hope, it is essential to undertake a journey of awareness guided not by opinions, but by science.
Odissea Terra is an outreach project aimed at those who want to become agents of change and which, in its initial phase, presented four conferences and a series of podcasts produced by Fondazione Pesenti Ets and Fondazione Corriere della Sera. The challenge, like modern Ulysses, is to set out on a journey to find our way back to a sustainable future.
Conferences:
- April 1, Sala Buzzati (Milan) “Naufragio nell’indifferenza: la sostenibilità è ancora affare di tutti?”
- June 10, gres art 671 (Bergamo) Naufraghi o naviganti. Il sapere come rotta del cambiamento”
- September 30, Sala Buzzati (Milan) Non c’è più domani. La giustizia climatica, oggi
- November 24, gres art 671 (Bergamo) Rotte condivise. Lo spazio come palestra di sostenibilità
A natural extension of the conference series is a podcast series, hosted and produced with Massimo Sideri, correspondent and columnist for Corriere della Sera. The project also includes digital content to amplify the debate on sustainability, collaborations with prominent personalities to draw attention to high-impact social issues, and a book that will bring together ideas, insights, and commitments for a better future.
