Banca Leonardo was founded in Milan in 1999 as private investment bank, operating in the Wealth Management business.
It was acquired in 2006, with an operation valued at 100 million euros, by a group of leading European investors including Italmobiliare with a 2.75% interest. In November 2017, Indosuez Wealth Management, the global wealth management brand of the French Crédit Agricole Group, announced the acquisition of Banca Leonardo. The merger between Banca Leonardo and Indosuez Wealth Management was completed in 2019 with the birth of CA Indosuez Wealth (Italy) S.p.A., wholly owned by CA Indosuez Wealth (Europe).
