The European Commission sends a Statement of Objections to food packaging companies.

Verolanuova, October 5, 2012 – The European Commission has served Sirap-Gema S.p.A., and some of its subsidiaries, with a Statement of Objections, within the scope of its investigation into the market of the production and distribution of food packages (in particular, expanded polystyrene trays and rigid polypropylene trays). The Commission has sent the Statement of Objections also to Italmobiliare, in its capacity as parent company of its Verolanuova-based subsidiary, as well as to several other European-based companies.

Sirap-Gema, and its subsidiaries involved in the investigation, will continue to cooperate with the Commission in the continuation of the investigation. They will closely examine the Commission’s document and will respond in writing, in due time, to the preliminary findings reported in it.
